The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has accepted a $750,000 offer in compromise from Craft Beer Guild, LLC for violations of the trade practice provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration (FAA) Act. Craft Beer Guild, LLC allegedly paid “slotting fees” to retailers in exchange for favorable product placement and shelf space. Citing this activity as “pay to play” and incompatible with fair competition, TTB stated that it will continue to actively investigate any such activity.
