The Brewers Association Quality Subcommittee welcomes Brent Radke as their newest member. Mr. Radke currently works in Quality Assurance at Oskar Blues Brewery, and has previously held positions at Other Half Brewing Co (Rochester, N.Y.) and New Belgium Brewing Co (Fort Collins, Colo.). With over 12 years of industry experience, Brent has worked in all areas of production and takes a holistic view of brewery quality systems.

“Every time we bring new folks into the group, we brainstorm better ideas to help our fellow brewers. Brent is no exception to this, and he is already diving in and helping with our current projects.”

In addition to having spent time in the industry, Brent also earned a Fermentation Science degree from Colorado State University and has since gone on to guest lecture brewery microbiology classes to new students. He is especially interested in using microbiology techniques and troubleshooting to protect beer from spoilage. Brent says, “It’s an honor to be a part of this subcommittee and give back to the brewing community. I’m excited to draw on my own experiences working at breweries large and small, and to keep learning alongside my peers.”

The Quality Subcommittee is made up of a robust and engaged group of volunteers working on many projects to help BA members operate their breweries safely, efficiently, and sustainably. They are motivated to enable members to responsibly produce beer using wholesome ingredients, consistent brewing techniques and good manufacturing practices.
