The Brewpub Pavilion returned to the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) for a third year. The pavilion debuted in 2012 as a way to highlight this important segment of the craft brewing industry. Brewpubs, defined by the Brewers Association as a restaurant-brewery that sells 25 percent or more of its beer on site, make up nearly 40 percent of the more than 3,000 U.S. breweries. This year 36 brewpubs were featured in a centrally-located area of the hall for all three days of the festival—each offering samples of their brews.
