Denver, CO – Raíces Brewing Co, the award-winning Latin@-owned and operated brewpub, community, multicultural event and resource center located in Denver, CO, celebrating 4 years, has held an impressive 355 free, no-commitment events for its guests in 2023 so far. At least 15 more free events will be added to this final number by the end of December 31st.

Tamil Maldonado Vega (COO), Jose Beteta (CEO) and Martin Vargas (Creative Brewer), the owners and co-founders of Raíces Brewing Co, set out to create a different type of concept inside of the craft beer industry, which would highlight Latin American and Caribbean Cultures through community, culture and cerveza, their 3 fundamental pillars. This concept would manifest in a variety in events, artistic performances, cultural and folkloric exhibitions, panels, community presentations and engagement events, dancing, singing, games, book, running, cycling, nature, and other common interest clubs, and more. “Because the brewery opened on September 2019 and the pandemic hit shortly after, plans to get to this point took a little longer than expected”, said Beteta, CEO of Raíces, “these events have been a team effort, but no one has worked harder in creating, strategizing, curating and executing this engagement than the mastermind behind the success of Raíces’ concept than Tamil Maldonado”.

Maldonado, born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and with a background in Arts, Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Atmospheric Studies amongst other skills, grew up surrounded by community and culture. Her incorporation of community engagement to celebrate her Raíces, which is Spanish for “roots”, was a must for success coming into an already saturated Craft Beer industry, but with plenty of room to still cater to the under served communities of color, women and Latin@s.
