What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

My husband started Pateros Creek Brewing Co. [in Fort Collins, Colo.], so while my official title is Creative Genius, I run the tap room and manage the people in addition to handling all the marketing, PR, events, and anything else you can think of.

What’s new at Pateros Creek?

Everything! Our tap room has only been open for two months, so it’s all new. We have just started adding live music on the weekend, and our Oktoberfest is lagering in preparation for a tapping party at the end of September.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

I am impressed every day at how collaborative the craft brewing community is. We are in a town with a lot of great breweries, and they are all so supportive—it’s really been fantastic.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

We have two boys (four and nine months), so any time I do get away from the brewery is spent playing and trying to maintain some degree of a normal home life for them.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

It might be a little cliché, but definitely pizza.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

Raising two wonderful kids.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

Odell’s 90 Shilling is always my go-to beer, but I also love New Belgium’s Frambozen in the winter.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

New York City. We got lost in Brooklyn trying to find Sixpoint until a cabbie pulled over and insisted we get in the cab so he could take us somewhere safe. Aside from that little scare, we had a fun time sampling the beers around the city at some of their fantastic beer bars.
