What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I am the head brewer/partner here at Red Hare [in Marietta, Ga.]. Roger Davis and I started homebrewing around 2008 and after a few batches decided we'd look into the brewing business. After about three years of seriously digging into this business, we finally opened our doors.

What’s new at Red Hare?

We just got in our new canning line. We've been draft only for almost the entire first year and are extremely excited about packaging our products. We are the first craft brewery in Georgia to package in cans.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

Making a product that I can say I'm truly proud of.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

I'm not really sure what you're talking about. My life is the brewery.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

Late lunches. Dinner is just bleeding over from lunch and beer at breakfast is always just kind of a rehydrating process.

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

Parenting my sweet little girl.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

I really dig IPAs from several breweries but I also really love Left Hand's Milk Stout.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

San Diego had some great beer/breweries. San Francisco was a close second, but I've yet to travel to places like Colorado or other places along the West Coast.
