Brewers Association

EDP Seminars at the 2010 GABF

As we have done in past years, the Brewers Association is again planning to hold an export presentation and discussion at this year's Great American Beer Festival, with a great line-up of speakers and we know you won’t want to miss it!  The BA has planned for discussion covering Italy/Central Europe, Taiwan, and plans for a BA presence at the Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C.

The Export Development Program seminars will take place on Friday September 17th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Colorado Convention Center in the "Beer and Food Pavilion".  To locate the "Beer and Food Pavilion" – Go to the Brewers Registration Area (Hall F/Upper Lobby). We will have people there to direct/escort you to the presentations.  It is best if you are there no later than 1:45pm.

Sandro Vecchiato, Managing Director of INTERBRAU S.P.A, an importer and distributor based in Padua Italy (Verona) will speak about that market and the expectations for U.S. brands to be exported to Italy.  Mr. Vecchiato’s company is currently importing two beers from two U.S. Craft Breweries (Sierra/Brooklyn). His company has long maintained an interest in adding American craft beers to their portfolio.  His company is one of the largest importers of specialty beers to Italy representing La Chouffe, Kwak, St. Bernardus, Marston’s, Nethergate, Konig Pilsner, Scheider Weisse and other brands.  Italy has not been covered previously in a BA seminar.

Jim Boyle of Bao Brothers Trading James Boyle is founder and General Manager of Bao Brothers Trading, a Taipei-based importer, distributor and marketer of US craft beers of distinction. Bob Pease of the Brewers Association will speak about the plans for a BA EDP pavilion at the 57th Summer Fancy Food Show at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. on July,11-12 2011.  The Brewers Association has multiple booths reserved for our BA EDP members where our members’ beers will be showcased in one area. This appearance by the Brewers Association and the Export Development Program follows up on our successful participation in the Winter Fancy Food Show in January 2010.  This will be a great venue to promote American craft beer in the US to buyers and importers from the US and around the world.

A selection of beer along with some light appetizers will be on hand for those interested in a drink following the discussion.

Please RSVP to Mark Snyder at 720-473-7673 or by Wednesday September 8th if you plan to attend.
